United Airlines Reportedly Offering Free Rebooking for Passengers Who Object to Trump Airport Name

United Airlines has reportedly introduced a policy allowing passengers who do not wish to travel through the newly renamed Donald Trump International Airport to change their bookings free of charge.
According to The Daily Beast, an internal notice sent to the airline’s reservations staff states that passengers objecting to the airport’s new name may be rebooked without additional fees onto flights serving Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
The report also claims that numerous complaints were submitted through official channels during the first five days following the airport’s renaming, with at least 12 passengers stating they would choose Miami or Fort Lauderdale for future travel. In addition, an online petition opposing the name change has reportedly gathered more than 1,300 signatures. United Airlines has not issued an official statement regarding the reported policy.
